NFL power rankings AFCNFC championships
We are rapidly approaching the Super Bowl and the end of the NFL season. As for who will play for the Lombardi Trophy, I really like the Packers coming out of the NFC. They are solid on both sides of the ball and have a scorching hot quarterback. The Bears have a good defense, but their offense is very suspect.
In the AFC, it’s really a coin toss. Mark Sanchez played so well last week that it’s hard to imagine he can put up a repeat performance. Then again, I have a hard time seeing how the Steelers can score against New York’s stingy defense. I’ll be rooting like heck for the Jets, but I think the Steelers find a way to get it done thanks to Big Ben.
.New England-A stunning loss. I’ve never seen Bill Belichick get outcoached like that before.
.Pittsburgh-It was amazing how composed and poised the Steelers remained despite a 14-point deficit and a horrible first half.
.Green Bay-Aaron Rodgers is the hottest quarterback in the playoffs and it isn’t even close.
.Baltimore -The Ravens are the best at just throwing games away. They would rank No. 1 in the power rankingsfor thatcategory.
.New York Jets-Mark Sanchez still terrifies me, but Rex Ryan’s defensive gameplan has been brilliant through the first two playoff games.
.Atlanta-Matt Ryan isn’t that bad, but he was overrated much of the season.
.Chicago-The Bears may have just taken the easiest road to the NFC championship game in NFL history.
.Philadelphia-It was pretty shocking to see the Eagles fire their defensive coordinator.
.Indianapolis-Peyton Manning is about to get even richer.
.New Orleans-The Saints need to make their backfield a priority in the offseason.
.Kansas City-That is NOT the way you want to exit the playoffs.
.New York Giants-Will Steve Smith return next season?
.San Diego-Chargers might end up losing their great defensive coordinator.
.Tampa Bay-No playoffs for the Bucs, but a lot of excitement heading into next year.
.Miami-Tony Sparano kept his job, but under the strangest of circumstances.
.Dallas-Jason Garrettis a good hire for the Cowboys, especially with the way the contract is structured.
.Oakland-I like Hue Jackson, but Tom Cable deserved at least one more season.
18. Seattle – And the Seahawks come back down to Earth.
.Jacksonville- Jack Del Rio lives to fight another day.
.St. Louis-It’s time for the Rams to get Sam Bradford some playmakers.
.Houston -How in the world did Gary Kubiak keep his job?
.Cleveland-It doesn’t look like Mike Holmgren is making a return to the sidelines.
.Minnesota-The Vikings have an interesting quarterback situation heading into next season.
.Tennessee-Trading or releasing Vince Young seems like the only option at this point.
25. Cincinnati-I guessMarvin Lewis couldn’t find anything else better out there than the Cincinnati job.
.Detroit-The Lions are a big sleeper heading into the 2011 season.
.Washington-MikeShanahan and Daniel Snyder are already at odds.
.San Francisco-Jim Harbaugh is an awesome hire.
.Buffalo-The Bills need a quarterback in the worst way.
.Denver -Can John Elway take this organization back to the playoffs?.
31. Arizona – Talk about a team that needs a quarterback.
.Carolina – It’s finally over for John Fox.
